The White companies were founded in 1946 by the Weiss family. 

White Home Products has been owned and run by the Weiss family since its inception in 1986. Its predecessor company, White Systems, Inc. was founded in 1946 by Mort Weiss who invented the rotating dry cleaning conveyor in the 1950s and over 70,000 of those commercial units have been sold. White Systems, Inc. became the largest manufacturer of automated storage and retrieval systems for offices, warehouses and factories.

The Closet Carousel was originally designed and developed in the mid 80’s by White Home Products as a residential version of commercial carousels that we sold to factories, warehouses, offices and retailers. Over the past 30+ years it has been sold to thousands of residential users around the world. People love it because it saves space, eliminates clutter, is a great organizer, convenient and a conversation piece. Celebrities from Diana Ross to George Hamilton use it. It’s appeared in movies like Clueless and O.J.: Made in America and countless other shows. It is surprisingly inexpensive compared to other popular closet solutions.

The Closet Carousel is manufactured exclusively in the United States by White Home Products and is designed and made expressly for home usage.  It is made of lightweight aluminum and plastic with an enclosed track and uses a silent drive unlike it’s beefier and more expensive cousins used in dry cleaners and checkrooms.
